Referral Pathways

The project accepts initial referrals from anyone who has a substance misuse problem and lives in the village of Stainforth or the surrounding area, and/or is registered with a GP within the village.

Clients who refer and are in need of a specialised service; i.e. pregnant women, under 18’s, dual diagnosis etc. will be assessed and referred on where appropriate.

A client may drop in to refer on a Thursday between 9:30am- 4pm or alternatively telephone to make an initial appointment. All information is dealt with in the strictest of confidence.

Professional referrals are also accepted from a variety of sources although the preferred route is self-referral and wherever possible the project actively encourages the client to contact the project directly this is an indication of the client’s motivation to address their substance misuse issues.

Most interventions are delivered in house at the project though a level of specialised prescribing such as Methadone may come from The Garage.
