Your First SessionWe aim to have at least your home page completed by the first session. Once you are happy with the design and structure of your site, the following sessions are much easier. On your first visit to SYCI, you will need to bring:
Any images to be used on the site
Text
Ideas for site design
Images
These can be brought in on disk (in .jpg or .gif format). We can convert some images into these formats but we cannot use COREL images.
We can scan any photos, logos that you wish to place on the site and can also visit your premises with a digital camera.
Text
Text should be brought in on disk. Ideally, the text would be in Notepad (this can usually be found by clicking start - programs - accessories - notepad) though text brought in on Microsoft Word would also be ok. We cannot use COREL text programmes. Do not use special features, such as bold text, centred text or bulleted/numbered lists, as the text will be formatted in the web design software.
Design Ideas
If you see any web sites that catch your eye, write down the URL (web address). This can be anything from backgrounds to text colours to navigation ideas.
