K's Funerals
I am a new, small business (Funeral Directors) and was steered towards SCI, by my sister-in-law (Anne Butler) who was, at the time, shadowing, in the computer classes. I had training on the computer approximately 2 years ago, but did not realise that the project extended as far as
web page design, etc. (NB - the training was at MaTReC which is a
different project to the SCI project).
I have broken my comments down into what I see to be the key areas.
Atmosphere - Welcoming, friendly.
Environment - bright and airy.
Staff - Friendly, helpful (except when Scott's demanding coffee!) Interested in me, my project and what I want to achieve.
I'm comfortable working with any of you and will be coming back for assistance/training on databases. (I also have another project in the pipeline.) The staff are also approachable, personable. I'm not afraid to say if I think that something is not right, or if I have an idea of my own, but, it must be said, that I have full confidence in the
judgment of the staff. I have been fortunate enough to work with someone who has pride in her work and who appears to be tuned to the sensitive nature of the project. She is also very giving of her ideas, time, and patience. I felt that I controlled the designing but always the
input from the staff was helpful and positive.
Strategy - I found it very helpful to have a group meeting prior to the individual classes. It prepared me for the one to one sessions. I was able to arrive with ideas of what I did and did not want. The classes were informative and continued at a steady rate, which enabled me to concentrate on my own duties in between. I was able to understand what happened in the designing/layout etc of the
web page.
When the web page master disc was installed on my computer (Sorry don't know the real term for this), I found operation of it easy to understand, and have used it since.
Overall - Top marks for a much needed service. The commitment and enthusiasm is evident. I imagine that with further advertising you would become much busier. However, would this mean that you would be too busy to keep up with all the changes, training and still manage to give the 150%
commitment to the standards you have already set??
This service is much needed for community groups and for new, small businesses alike, who would otherwise have difficulty in producing a
web page at present day costs.
Personal note - I am delighted at the website designed by yourselves, it is far better than I ever imagined it to be. It is subtle, tasteful, with just the right amount of animation, it is pleasing to the eye. I have had a great many positive comments from family, friends and colleagues. All who have seen it are impressed by the site. I am certain that it will, bring in the business and in the mean time I have been able to use this site as a reference/testimony in many areas!!- Thank you.
